Edit the image using your normal editing suite e.g. phtoshop, Coral Draw etc.

*Free version has some hard coded limitations. Full version is contrained by the available storage and image comression if used.

Wide image format support

Working data can be stored in a wide range of common formats. The image set may also be exported and converted to alternate formats for release to the target platform.

Editing suport

MegaImage allows you to select a region of the mega-image which you can edit in your normal editign suite such as Photoshop, PaintShop, or CorelDraw.

When editing the selected area may be scaled or translated within the mega-texture image. Rotation can be performed in the editor but the alpha channel must be correctly set to prevent corner case issues.

Multiple mip-map levels

This feature allows for generation of lower resolution images. The tile-set is stores in a quad-tree manner and the parent texture can eb automatically updated to represent the changes made in the higher detail sub-textures. This process can be fully automated or post-edited by hand as required.

Tiles can also be furhter sub-divided into higher detail maps when/as required giving the artist the most possible control.

Selectable 'tile' size

Image tiles can be adjusted for paging and memory needs. Depending on your usage you may convert to smaller or larger tiles as desired with a simple click so that the imagery may be tested in your application.

Low memory footprint

Memory usage can be specified to a maxmimum allowed. Only required images are ever shown. The full version allows viewing the entire image at once through mip-map support.

Feature requests accepted

As development continues I will be accepting features requests such as format or performance considerations. Features can be paid for to get faster implementation or if you require bespoke formats for your company a pluggable add-on may can be created.

Q. Where can I download MegaImage?

A. You currently cannot get a copy of the program as it is still in early stages. If you are interested in becoming an Alpha tester please contact me.
